NEC Public Display Monitors and Video Walls

NEC Public Display Monitors are ideally suited to presenting visual information media for public buildings, at exhibitions and in congress centres, for POS and in stock exchange/financial applications. Also for monitoring media in control rooms and production facilities.

The NEC range of public displays come in various models but all are designed specifically for extended operation with outstanding picture quality and features. Reliable backlighting and protection against overheating make NEC LCD public displays the perfect choice for displays requiring continuous long-term operation. Accessories include on-board PC’s, mounting brackets, cabling and fascias.

Some screens are also available with a 4mm hardened protective glass covering making them especially suitable for public spaces and low-level installations where traditional screens may be damaged by contact. A Touch screen interface is also available on selected models enabling interactive content and user interaction.

The screens include an option slot which contains connections for:

NEC Protection Glass option for Public Displays

A high degree of robustness and reliability is pre-requisite whenever many people come into direct contact with a display. The high information content of Public Displays makes them natural points of attraction. NEC Display Solutions therefore offers its Public Displays in combination with a high quality protection glass. Thanks to extra-ordinary flexibility of the displays’ housings, it is quick and easy to install or re-tool onto an existing Public Display.

• 4mm safety protection glass with anti-reflexion coating
• 97% light transmission
• Viewing angle: 158° horizontal and vertical

NEC Public Displays have outstanding picture quality and excellent colour saturation and these features are retained in full when a safety anti-reflection protection glass with double-sided coatings is fitted.

NEC Touch Screen options

We have a range of  Touch screen options based around the NEC public display screens.

IR screens provide fast, multi-touch input, ideal for creative applications.

NEC 32″, 42″, 46″, 55″, 65″, 70″ Wide Screen Displays, fitted with a fully integrated InfraRed Touch screen. The sensor is installed behind the original NEC bezel & offers Windows 7 & 8 dual touch capability. Annotations are fast & precise making this product the ideal solution where handwriting and creative drawing are the principle requirements. (Portrait models are special order items)

OST screens are most commonly used as whiteboard replacements and provide fast, fluid motion tracking.

NEC 32″, 42″, 46″, 55″, 65″, 70″, 82″ Wide Screen Displays, fitted with a fully integrated Optical Sensing Touch screen. The sensor is installed behind the original NEC bezel & offers Windows 7 dual touch capability. Annotations are fast & precise making this product the ideal solution where handwriting and creative drawing are the principle requirements. (Portrait models are special order items)

PCT screens are the most rugged with a harder but less accurate screen. 

NEC 40″, 46″, 55″, 65″, 70″ Wide Screen Displays, fitted with a fully integrated Projective Capacitive Touch screen. The sensor is installed behind the original NEC bezel & offers Windows 7 dual touch capability. It features a Resilient all glass touch sensor, ideal for vandal resististant applications offering resistance to scratching and gouging. The sensor is located behind the glass and cannot be interfered with by the user.

DST screens are commonly used in table top applications and can provide accurate, repeatable input even with static objects on the screen. 

NEC 32″, 40″, 42″, 46″ and 55″ Wide Screen Display, fitted with a fully integrated 3M Dispersive Signal Technology (DST) Touch screen. The sensor is installed behind the original NEC bezel & offers a fast accurate repeatable touch. It will still operate with static objects or other touches on the screen making it the ideal solution for tabletop applications. Input flexibility from Finger or a stylus produced from almost any material. Due to the nature of this technology it is not to be recommended where drag & drop in mission critical applications is a requirement.

All touch screens use standard Windows HID drivers and work with Windows 7.

NEC Public Display Accessories

We can supply a full range of accessories for the NEC Public Display monitors from feet through to on-board PC’s. We also have a range of third party accessories for wall mounts, mobile carts and flight cases.

Warranty

All non-touch NEC Public Display LCD Monitors are covered by NEC’s 3 year on-site pan-European warranty.

Touch screen models have a Return To Base warranty – some DST screens can be upgraded to NEC’s on-site warranty at additional cost.
