Monitors for: Camera Assist, On-set, OB Truck, Control Room, Editing, Colour Grading, Medical, Public Display, Video Wall, Touch Screen, Stereo 3d...

The diversity of modern monitor technologies requires a colorimetric probe based on spectral measurement. The specbos 1211 is a miniaturized instrument for the precise color calibration of CRT, LCD, LED, OLED and other displays. It can also be used for almost all light measuring tests of the EBU 3325 document. The specbos 1211 is controlled via a netbook, laptop or PC and is USB powered or battery powered when using bluetooth. Operation is very easy and it comes with the included software MoDiCal. The measuring area on the display is highlighted by a red circle.

Advantages:

  • One unit for all necessary light and colour measurements
  • Visualization of measuring area with a laser circle
  • Operation with a laptop via USB or bluetooth and the monitor calibration software MoDiCal

specbos 1211 can be also implemented into automatical calibration systems using radiometric DLLs or firmware commands.

It also supports calibration software from the following manufacturers:

  • JVC
  • TVlogic
  • VTS
  • Penta Studiotechnik
  • Boland
  • SpectraCal (CalMan)
  • Display Calibrations (ChromaPure)
  • CRS
  • Sony (from June 2012)
  • Lightillusion (under preparation)
  • Filmlight (under preparation)

specbos 1211 is a miniaturized and fast broadband spectroradiometer covering the wavelength range from VIS(UV) to NIR. It can be used for various applications both in lab as well as in production. The instrument is available in a standard version for the wavelength range of 350 … 1000 nm and in an extended UV version (specbos 1211 UV) with 250 … 1000 nm.

Examples for applications are the following:

  • Calibration of studio monitors (more information)
  • Measurement of fluorescence and UV lamps
  • Measurement of extended luminaries like OLEDs
  • Measurement of weighted spectra e.g. of hazardous radiation or according to EU directive 2006/25/EG
  • Spectral measurements in goniometers

Measuring values:

  • Luminance, Radiance
  • Illuminance, Irradiance
  • xy and u’ v’ coordinates
  • Dominant wavelength
  • Color purity
  • Correlated Color Temperature
  • Color Rendering Index
  • Circadian metrics, PAR

Product Highlights:
